Below is formal introduction to the program.

Dear Members,

Thank you very much for your enthusiasm as we launch the brand new program, The Shadow Program. I look forward to your participation as we make our club even more COHESIVE! Here is a summary of the program.

Shadow Program

The program is designed to encourage members to step up to leadership positions in the TOT club with confidence. Any member is welcome to shadow the current executive committee of officers. The program allows you to prepare to serve as an officer in an encouraging, supportive way.

Here are the goals of the Shadow Program:

  • Prepare future executive committee members
  • Reduce the ramp-up time to productivity for the new officers
  • Encourage club participation in an officer role

Aspects of the Shadow Program:

  • Share duties with officers
  • Shadows will be invited to officer's meetings
  • Shadows will be copied on officer's messages
  • There will be a pool of shadow participants
  • Shadow participants will be a mixture of new members and experienced members
  • The shadow program will be promoted by the mentors

Your partcipation is essential to the program's success. It is up to the individual to define the amount of time spent on Shadow activities. As you become involved, you will decide what effort is required.

This program is meant to be is a learning experience for our club members. You can expect help and support every step of the way. So, come join in. We're waiting for you!

Please let me know if you have any more questions or if you would like to participate!

Best regards,
Jackie
